Junior volunteers can gain healthcare experience at Royal C. Johnson Veterans’ Memorial Hospital, Community Based Outpatient Clinics, and Vet Centers. Students must be aged 16 and older and commit to 50 years of service over six months.

East Tennessee Children’s Hospital

The Knoxville hospital’s summer VolunTeen Program admits students who are at least 16 years or older. They invite high schoolers to help at its diabetes camp or at camps for rehabilitation center patients, or in the hospital.
